This Month's Coffee Selection
This month's origin is actually one of our go to coffees for comparing year over year cupping notes. While many of its notes are easily discernable, it is more likely because it's one of our favourite every day cups of coffee. I had to go back and look, but this is our third opportunity to Cup this coffee (our previous chances were in 2020 and 2023). As with any coffee you Cup over multiple years, you will find subtle and some potentially obvious differences. While certain years may be extraordinary, other may leave you questioning if there was something off with your memory or even your taste buds. I guess that's part of the joy of loving coffee and letting your taste evolve over time. With all that said, does this year's crop live up to the hype of previous years, you'll have to Go Cup Yourself and find out!
Roaster’s Notes:
This month's coffee was roasted to a full medium, the way we like it! In past Cuppings, we've sent this origin as a light roast to allow our Cuppers to try a true Cupping roast. As a light roast, we received mixed reviews and a wide spectrum of flavour profiles, while as a medium roast, we received a narrower, more consistent response from our audience.
